Trial Conversion Definition Needs Clarity

Just discovered trial conversion tracking counts ANY first purchase as a "trial conversion" if the user ever had a trial of any product. Real example from us:

  • User tries Product A (May 2023) -> expires
  • User tries Product B (Feb 2024) -> expires
  • User buys Product C (Dec 2024) -> marked as "trial conversion"

Proposing to make the docs insanely clear that trial conversion is just any conversion to paid after a trial start even if it's a different product. To me, this is different than what you'd expect for a trial started > trial converted flow. It should match on that exact product and trial not just any next transaction.

I can see why some would want to report that way for a more blended view but for most experiments and apps that have different tiers (monthly/annual) it definitely muddies the waters. For example, we can have as many as 10-20% switch durations after not converting a trial
