@daw-dev

Description

@daw-dev

NVIDIA Open GPU Kernel Modules Version

580.82.09-1

Please confirm this issue does not happen with the proprietary driver (of the same version). This issue tracker is only for bugs specific to the open kernel driver.

  • I confirm that this does not happen with the proprietary driver package.

Operating System and Version

Arch Linux x86_64

Kernel Release

6.16.6-arch1-1

Please confirm you are running a stable release kernel (e.g. not a -rc). We do not accept bug reports for unreleased kernels.

  • I am running on a stable kernel release.

Hardware: GPU

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU

Describe the bug

Whenever I suspend the laptop, either because of hypridle, because I run systemctl suspend or by closing the lid, and I press any key, it takes a long time to wake up (it seems to take increasingly longer depending on for how long the laptop was in sleep mode, from 15 seconds if I wake it up right after suspending it to a couple of minutes if the laptop had been sleeping for half an hour / an hour).

I followed every guide I could find, I've changed the kernel parameters, the grub config and other configuration files, but still no luck.

It's also important to note that I already had this issue and managed to solve it following the already cited guides, but it came up once again after running paru -Syyu like a week ago so I guess it could be a bug that came up with the latest version of either nvidia-open or hyprland.

To Reproduce

  • systemctl suspend
  • press any key...
