Hardware: GPU
MSI RTX 5070
Describe the bug
Trying to setup GPU passthrough on my desktop computer (motherboard : MSI B650, GPU: MSI RTX 5070). The GPU is listed in lspci on the guest, but nvidia-smi shows "no devices were found" error. (QubesOS/qubes-issues#10036)
The issue seems specific to Qubes or Xen, but maybe you could provide some explanations on the error messages I get from NVRM in dmesg (see bug report below).
To Reproduce
- Install Qubes 4.2.4 and update dom0
- Hide GPU and associated audio device from dom0
- Create a fedora HVM and attach both devices (with
permissive=True
andno-strict-reset=True
) - Install
akmod-nvidia
andxorg-x11-drv-nvidia-cuda
in HVM - Reboot
- Run
nvidia-smi
