Importing a Catalogue and specifying an Acronymn that is too long gets silently rejected [Zsolt]

**Describe the bug**
No error is thrown up but the UI won't progress.  Issues are reported in the 'Application Errors' button but that is not accessible due to the dialog being modal.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Import a Catalogue
2. Type a very long description into ACRONYMN 
3. Try to save or hit Ok to create the Catalogue
