[BUG] OCIO 2.5.0 breaks 104 - python-colorconfig (Failed)

This is why it's important to have beta periods and release candidates in which you give people a version to test that has everything merged that you think will comprise the release, but isn't yet advertising itself as an official release.

OTOH, OpenImageIO does not advertise itself as working with OCIO 2.5... yet. I hope to make those changes today.

that's why I am trying to update quickly to give early feedback :)

if you want we can set something up in OBS that makes all those packages build on each git push. so you can see cross breakages early.

Thanks, but I have it covered! OIIO's CI has a job that build several important dependencies (including OpenColorIO) from source at their top-of-tree main, both on every one of our PRs as well as nightly. Generally, we are able to quickly catch things in dependencies that break us or need adjustment on our part LOOOOONG before they have releases.

The situation is that OCIO tagged a big annual release just last night, and they were merging large changes literally up to the last hours before that. One of those changes broke our tests. Even as recently as the previous night, their top-of-tree passed our CI just fine.

v3.0.11.0 has been released which should pass all tests when built against OpenColorIO 2.5.
