Hi, I get that menu by right clicking. What I had been able to do in previous versions. Was left click on the workspace name. Doing that gave me a drop down of all my workspaces. And clicking on a workspace name changed to that workspace. Now nothing happens when left clicking. |
Sam as VJIse-1 plus I don't get the list of workspaces when I right click. (It goes "Set Profile" then "Reorder Spaces") |
I've got the same issue on macOS. Left clicking workspace name to switch to another space no longer working. The only way to switch workspace is to click the extremely tiny icons at the bottom of the left panel. |
I honestly don't understand the change. Now I have to go through the small menu and search for the workspace among all the other menu items. That’s clearly more cumbersome than before — especially for a function I use frequently. Why make it less accessible? On top of that, the menu doesn’t even show up for me at all. |
You can set keyboard shortcuts to switch between workspace (Zen preferences). Although I found that clicking on workspace name was way more convenient for me. |
This is a huge disappointment, I moved from Vivaldi due to Zen's better speed and features. I was disappointed when I could no longer hide the workspace icon bar a few revisions back, but I lived with it since I could still double right click or single left click on the Workspace Title Bar to switch workspaces. Now both of those options are removed to push a more inconvenient/cumbersome method. It may be time to switch back to Vivaldi. |
Or, when excessive minimalism kills usability. |
A little patience? v1.13.2b is building atm. It'll bring switching to the context menu. Right clicking the space title:
There are several other ways to switch:

Perhaps I came off a bit harsh, as I do love the project. It only seems as workspace manipulation has become increasingly difficult over a few revisions, and I thought it might have been a bug. I'm happy to wait it out and not upgrade a few machines yet. As for the alternate methods, I am aware of them, however each one seems to be just hacked into the mix. Not everyone has mouse buttons 4+5, or prefers a trackpad (eww lol), or configuring a shortcut when it used to be PnP. I was honestly not aware of the Ctrl+scroll option, but I still prefer left click or double right click. No offense intended. |
Preliminary Checks
What happened?
The workspaces can no longer be chosen by left clicking on the workspace name. Workspaces now seem to only be able to be selected.changed from the bottom of the tab/bookmarks side panel by clicking on a tiny dot that shows the icon assigned to a space. I'm hoping this is a bug and not a feature as it is a really bad change.
This has also moved the downloads viewer to the left hand side of the side panel, which is not great.
Expected behavior
Left click on space name to get a list of spaces. Allowing you to select the space you want to use.
Actual behavior
Left clicking on Space name now has no affect, nothing happens no dropdown listing the other spaces appears.
Steps to reproduce
1 left click on space name above tab/bookmark panel
2 Expect to see a drop down with all spaces listed
3 Nothing happens when left clicking
Screenshots and videos
I have made a screen recording in QuickTime on Mac. But when trying to add it it fails.
