broken colors

I wonder has anyone else had issues with Zen's color scheme. On my end I've selected dark background etc. But on some of the elements it seems that some sort of default color gets activated instead - and for example on some utility toolbars, like search, I have white letters on white background... which is a major pita.

Has anyone figured a workaround? I initially thought that I'd have to go to addons panel and switch theme there - but it seems this section is no longer available.
