TabView Not Usable on UWP

TabView does not work in a Shell Xamarin.Forms UWP project. Tabs don't change 80% of the time. Sometimes not at all.
What is the roadmap for getting this fixed? See [Bug] TabView does not switch tabs on UWP #887.

Well as disappointed as it has made me, I have pulled my XCT TabViews from my new Shell application. I replaced them with classic Xamarin Forms TabbedPages although I don't have secondary menus in my navigation bar they still at least work and will change when the tab indicator is tapped unlike the new XCT TabView. I hope they get this issue fixed quickly for UWP.
