Sonoff - Temp To Ambient Temp via HA - Help Please

Hi, I am trying to get a sonoff sensor to update the ambient temp within module via HA. I am able to retrieve the temp but it is not letting me update the module (firmware 2024-10-07-1913). Can anyone shed any light on what I am doing wrong please (driving me crazy)? Many thanks. (pS tried some code from 2023 on this site without success)

Thank you for your prompt response. My sonoff device has various attributes so adding state_attr in payload but the figure (which is correct) just cannot get through.

Hi, I have just changed to a more basic sonoff temp sensor which still does not work with the following results. Any guidance most appreciated.
