Marking an amenity as disused in the "is this still here?" quest

Could there be an option in the "is this still here?" quest to mark something as disused? Where I live, they are starting to phase out the parking ticket machines. The machines still exist, but they are no longer in operation.

That depends on the context, if they're being phased out then you could argue they should be removed. However, if they could be reinstated in the future, then there is value in marking them as disused.

Also, even if it is not going to be reinstated (which it might, and it is unrealistic to expect the user to predict the future), when it stops being useful for its initial purpose, amenity=vending_machine (and similar) still exist as objects in real life, so they should still exist on the OSM map -- i.e. become disused:amenity=vending_machine IMHO, and not removed.

If one dislikes lifecycle prefixes (why would you?), then instead of removing, one should at the very least transform that disused parking ticket machine to barrier=yes (as barrier=bollard is not really correct) instead. But that would lead to SC asking what kind of barrier that is, and user could only leave a Note saying it is disused parking ticket machine, and then someone would finally tag it as disused:amenity=vending_machine. Which is rather convoluted way of processing it, so it would be better that SC user could just marked it directly as disused.

TLDR: I also would like that functionality to mark items as disused:* instead of removing them. So IMHO it should be created as an feature request issue (instead of discussion).
