Home Assistant is one of the most popular projects on GitHub, arguably the most popular.
It provides a wide range of integrations that connect devices and services for smart homes.
Each integration includes a
manifest.jsonfile that declares its pip dependencies in therequirementskey. Home Assistant installs these dependencies on-demand, only when a user activates the corresponding integration.Integrations can be either official or custom. Official integrations live in the home-assistant/core repository. Custom integrations, however, are maintained in their own repositories and are typically distributed through HACS (Home Assistant Community Store).
It would be highly useful if Renovate could support updating the pip requirements inside
manifest.jsonfiles for Home Assistant integrations.PS: I would like to contribute this myself.
