Hi everyone,

Trying to redeem my Student Developer Pack, but my college (IU Bloomington) only provides a virtual camera, where I've tried multiple forms of documentation that have been denied.

Anyone know of any solutions? Thanks.

Hey! If your uni only provides virtual id, github usually looks for something that clearly proves current enrollment with your name and institution. Some things that have worked for others are uploading an official enrollment certificate like a pdf or screenshot from your uni portal, a class schedule that includes your name + school name, a tuition receipt, etc. Try avoiding cropped images, try including the full img so it looks more legitimate.

If everything keeps getting rejected, you can also open a support ticket with github and explain your situation, sometimes they manually review cases.

Hi!

My school, Indiana University Bloomington, only provides the option to take a photo with my labtop camera. No options for a PDF, screenshot, class schedule, etc.

Which is why when using the virtual camera on my phone or a printed paper of either my transcript or student ID, my access is denied.

Will definitely open a support ticket! THANK YOU!!!
