Same issue here and, unfortunately, no solution. I've tried uploading a series of different documents certifying the academic status and none of them seem to work.

I am also having the same issue. They have also closed the ticket support for education, so not sure if this is a bug or deliberate action to make the product so unappealing that people are forced into pro subscriptions. They have already restricted AI models for students' plans |

None of my documents got accepted. Eventually it didn't even give me reasons of why the documents are not accepted. |

Verification Help & Guidance
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
I’m applying for GitHub Education benefits as faculty (lecturer at a higher education institution), but my application keeps getting rejected with the same message:

“We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status. Please address the following issues and apply again.”
The rejection did not list any specific issues.
For context, I’ve already tried the following:
Applied using my official institution email
Submitted my staff ID in previous applications
Submitted internal profiles (e.g. Microsoft 365 showing me as staff)
I do not have a public staff or faculty webpage on my institution’s site
Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to get approved?
Appreciate any advice or shared experiences. Thanks!
