Contact Microsoft Support directly. Since this is your first login and the tenant was blocked by the system, only support can unblock it. Go to support.microsoft.com Select "Azure" → "Subscription and Billing Management" → "Azure Free Account" Sign in with your GitHub account Describe the problem: "Azure AD tenant blocked due to inactivity (error AADSTS5000225), but this is my first login with GitHub account" Provide the Trace ID and Correlation ID from the error Support will verify your account and unblock the tenant manually. |

Hi everyone,
Hello,
I am encountering an Azure Active Directory error when trying to sign in with github account for the first time . I'm hoping to get some community insight or guidance on the recovery process.
Error Details:
Error Code: AADSTS5000225
Message: "This tenant has been blocked due to inactivity."
Trace ID: 4e45873f-51f5-45c7-9dd9-748018ff1a00
Correlation ID: 2a50d650-e4ea-4d77-b641-d2176b3d2a4c
Timestamp: 2025-11-08 13:16:45Z
I was attempting to sign into the Azure Portal when the error occurred.
The official documentation states that inactive tenants can be removed, but it doesn't explicitly detail the recovery process for a tenant that has been "blocked" but not yet "deleted."
Like I said, this is the first time that I signed in to Azure portal with github account. What should I do?
Thank you.
