Unable to edit Readme in the Profile - it's stuck in an infinite loop of page refreshes!

I'm not sure what happened here, I just want to update the readme in my Profile but it renders the website unusable. I cannot navigate anywhere, it just won't stop refreshing the page.

Is there any way to stop it? I don't mind if it deletes the readme, I'll create a new one but this is a problem as it just makes nonstop calls from my account and I have no way to stop it.

Couldn't attach a screen recording as it ends up > 10 MB so attaching a screenshot. Any help/suggestions would be great!

• Go to your profile’s repository (named exactly like your username) that holds the README file. Try editing the file directly via “Edit this file” (in the repo UI) rather than via the “Edit profile README” flow, and see if you hit the same loop.
• If the direct edit also triggers a refresh loop, check the GitHub status page (for possible outages) or reach out to GitHub Support with a screenshot (you mentioned you have one) and the exact time it happens.
• As a workaround, you could also rename the existing README (e.g. README_old.md) then create a new README.md with your content. This often sidesteps some UI issues while still keeping your profile page.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I've tried this in incognito mode on latest versions of Firefox and Chrome in Mac. No change, same issues.

I'm unable to check any suggestions in the If it persists section as the repository won't load, the files aren't shown (so can't rename or direct edit) and it just keeps refreshing non-stop at this point. I have posted the screenshot in my original post.

I tried to clone the repo but I did see this error ERROR: Repository 'AmitEMV/AmitEMV' is disabled. but I don't see any settings to enable this anywhere.
