Hi @mgarridoch, That's because you should still have access to the benefits from your previous application, to check how much time you have left (benefits last for 2 years) go to your billing settings, under " Once approved, you can claim your To redeem others benefits, go to the pack offers page, scroll down to the "All offers" section and select any offer that suits you. In case you encounter a problem claiming any offer, I recommend you raise a ticket here, select " |

It sounds like your GitHub Education benefits renewal is being blocked because the system still recognizes an old, active student coupon on your account, preventing you from applying again. This “stuck” coupon often happens when previous benefits haven’t fully expired or the system hasn’t cleared them properly. Unfortunately, there’s no direct way for users to remove or reset these coupons themselves. The best approach is to contact GitHub Education Support directly, explain your situation, and provide them with details including the screenshot you mentioned. They can manually clear the old coupon or reset your eligibility status so you can reapply and regain access to benefits like GitHub Copilot Pro. In the meantime, double-check that your student verification is up to date and that your email or school credentials match the requirements, as this can speed up the process. Reaching out through the official GitHub Education support channels is the most reliable way to fix this kind of issue. |

Hi everyone,
Hello GitHub Community,
I'm writing to ask for your help with an issue I'm having while trying to renew my GitHub Education benefits. I was part of the program in the past, and now that I'm eligible again, I've been trying to re-apply.
The problem is that when I go to the Billing and licensing > Education benefits section in my settings, I see a message that says You have a current student coupon applied.
However, I no longer have access to the actual benefits (like the GitHub Copilot Pro), and the same page also shows me the green Start an application button. When I try to start the new application process, the system doesn't seem to let me proceed, likely because it detects this supposedly active "coupon."
I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see on my dashboard:
Has anyone else faced this situation? I'd like to know if there's a way to "clear" or remove this old coupon so I can submit my new application for benefits correctly and without this conflict. Or maybe just fix the Copilot for education, cause that is the main reason of why im doing this.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance you can provide.
Best regards,
