When I go to github.. I wanna see a list of my repos. This dashboard is so unnecessary. At least give me controls

Give your users agency to control their tools, build your weird features bc I know some people probably like it.. but give me the option to customize my front page when I log in..........

I forked a repo a couple hours ago. Why isn't that at the top of my page when I log into github.. why do I have to search.

the cumulative time lost from everyone skipping this page or getting confused by it every day.

Hi @andrew-wiskus,

I completely agree with you. The default GitHub dashboard can sometimes be overwhelming, especially if you primarily want to access your repositories quickly. Customizing the front page to better fit our needs would be a fantastic improvement.

It would be great if GitHub offered more control over the dashboard's layout and content. For instance, allowing users to prioritize recent activities like forks or recent repository updates right at the top of their dashboard could save a lot of time and reduce confusion.

In the meantime, I’ve been using the repositories tab on my profile or the “Your repositories” link from the dropdown menu to quickly access my repos. However, a more personalized dashboard would definitely enhance the user experience.
