I’ve recently started using HonoX in a few real-world projects, and I just wanted to share some thoughts and appreciation for the direction it’s taking.
As someone who's been building fullstack apps for a while, I’ve tried most major meta-frameworks — including Next.js. While they all have their strengths, HonoX really stands out to me in terms of simplicity, structure, and flexibility.
Even though I’m not a big fan of Vite in general, I’ve come to ignore that because of how much I like the rest of the architecture. The project structure in HonoX just makes sense, and it’s lightweight without being limiting.
What I’m working on:
I’m currently building a few apps with HonoX and will be contributing:
✅ Example projects with actual backend + frontend logic
✅ Templates for things like CMS dashboards, media managers, streaming apps, etc.
✅ UI and utility libraries tailored for HonoX
✅ Feedback and PRs to help improve the framework as I go
I’ve attached some screenshots below showing an early look at one of the projects I’m building with HonoX:

Looking forward to seeing how this project evolves. Even in its alpha stage, it’s already incredibly capable. Excited to contribute and help others adopt it for their own use cases.
