This article doesn't explain that tags are Git tags, so there could be some confusion about what tags are and if they are specific to GitHub Desktop.
To address this, the "About tags in GitHub Desktop" section could be updated to clearly explain that the tags are Git tags and describe what Git tags are commonly used for without linking out to other articles.
Writing this content as a reusable would be perfect so that it can be used consistently in other docs that discuss Git tags.
