Works not as expected

Hi,
I am quite a newbee to HA.
I installed HACS today and the custom button card, works fine.
I made a new page in my HA dashboard and placed the custom button card.
White background (no problem) and black icon lines.
I used code to change the color depending on the button state, nothing happens.
I end up with a power button icon drawn in black on a white background?
Whats wrong?
