Yabai service not starting

I have installed yabai using homebrew and if I just run the yabai command everything works like it should. However, running yabai --start-service does nothing.

If I run launchctl list | grep yabai I can see the yabai service.

I found the answer. I had to use launchctl bootout gui/501/com.koekeishiya.yabai to remove an old install of the service.
