Limit the number of checkpoints

Seems like nobody pointed this out yet: Worked on a laptop with only 500GB ssd. Wondering where my last 50GB went and why system was out of space -> kilocode checkpoints ate them up.

Please add an option to limit checkpoints to a certain number (10?) and let the older ones be deleted automatically.

I instead want way more checkpoints. Cline adds one after every change. I don't understand why they removed that. Also I've never felt the space affected tbh. Where are they stored?
