Self-hosted setup on Ghost 5.75.1

Hi all

I'm keen on self-hosting as much as humanly possible and have downloaded the FA6Pro files into my ghost install.

The JS snippets are in a per-theme structure, but I was hoping to just host the icons once for the site, so I've got them setup thusly:

/ghost/public/fontawesome/<files.js>

Code injection in Ghost settings is:

    <script defer src="/public/fontawesome/fontawesome.js"></script>
    <script defer src="/public/fontawesome/brands.js"></script>
    <script defer src="/public/fontawesome/duotone.js"></script>
    <script defer src="/public/fontawesome/regular.js"></script>

this referencing the path was based on another fragment from the site source loading one of the stylesheets from /public/

Code on the page is:

<i class="fa-solid fa-user"></i>
<i class="fa-solid fa-book"></i>
<i class="fa-duotone fa-hospital"></i>

But I haven't got any icons.

Any tips on where to look into what I'm doing wrong?
