Hi @ejsc1 I took at look at the BE6500 as the link worked. The link to the BE7000 did not work. The BE6500 is a dual band WiFi 7 router. It appears to use a Qualcom chip which is a good thing. When it comes to wifi routers, I will buy routers that use Mediatek and Qualcomm chips as they can be supported by OpenWRT. I do not have actual experience with this router. In the details, it does not show the 5 GHz DFS channels as supported which would be important to me. Maybe not for you. I have not found a WiFi 7 router that I like yet. I can recommend the OpenWRT One wifi router: https://openwrt.org/ It is only WiFi 6 but is really good and has features that most routers do not. |

Let me add this: I regularly see similar questions to what you are asking. Here is what another user of this site said in a message this morning:
My opinion is that this person speaks words of wisdom. Unless you have a specific need for WiFi 7, it may be better to wait. I can afford a new WiFi 7 router but I simply cannot find anything that I like. I am picky. Good products will happen. |
